What is POSBuddy Cloud?

The POSBuddy Cloud solution is a digital platform that enables merchants to securely process payments over the internet using cloud based infrastructure. The POSBuddy Cloud REST API enables third-party Point-of-Sale (POS) applications to capture transaction details and initiate card payment processing via POSBuddy Cloud. The POSBuddy Cloud directly connects to the POSBuddy & Payment App on a supported third-party payment device (such as Sunmi or Feitian), initiating the process of a payment, and returns the result back to the POS system, allowing the transaction flow to continue seamlessly.

With POSBuddy Cloud, merchants can accept payments through a payment device without manually entering the transaction amount on the terminal. Once the POS initiates payment by selecting "Pay," the amount is automatically transmitted, and the payment screen is displayed on the customer facing payment device streamlining the process and reducing manual input errors. Integration is handled through the POSBuddy Cloud REST API, which connects directly to the POSBuddy & Payment App.

How Does POSBuddy Cloud Work?

POSBuddy Cloud allows a POS application to integrate into the cloud via a REST API in order to make user of Ecentric’s payment capability. The POS application connects directly to the POSBuddy Cloud via an internet connection, the POSBuddy Cloud connects to the POSBuddy & Payment App in order to process payments.
